In this episode of Beyond the Classroom, UC Davis student Nat explores the different offerings of UC Davis' recreational program, Living Well. We speak to two Living Well student employees and even try out one of their Zumba classes! Living Well is a program through UC Davis' Activities and Recreation Center where students can partake in exercise classes, personal training, and nutrition counseling. The program is available to students and the community. Outdoor Adventures is a program at UC Davis that allows undergraduate and graduate students at Davis to experience an outdoor excursion. They have so many adventures for you to choose from like hiking, whitewater rafting, camping, rock climbing, and so much more! These adventures allow students to explore the world outside of Davis and take a break from their studies to learn and explore the great outdoors. UC Davis biomedical engineering student Neeraj Senthil is the winner of the 2023 University Medal, an award given to the top graduating senior. Neeraj is graduating in the Class of 2023 with a 4.0 GPA as well as a long list of accomplishments from volunteering to help care for sick babies at the UC Davis Medical Center to authoring and co-authoring research papers while working as an undergraduate research assistant.
